« Beautiful, fun, HIGHLY UNRELIABLE »

I was excited about this product. I've played with some green lasers before and had a lot of fun, and this appeared to be such a great deal.

The first two nights out of the box this worked wonderfully. I live in a more secluded area with little light pollution, so I was able to see just how powerful this laser CAN be -- and it's quite a bit. It could go on as far as I could see, easily pointing out any star. The attachments are all endless hours of fun, too, each providing it's own truly unique effects.

Then, much to my dismay, problems started showing. The laser first started fluctuating the third night. While still mostly strong, it would flicker to a noticeably lower power. The fourth night, it got much worse. Now more often than not the power is low. Occasionally it'll get bright for a few seconds, but never much longer than 10-20 seconds. Sometimes it'll drop to a practically unnoticeable dot even at short range.

Needless to say I'm pretty disappointed. Even on low power it can provide some fun and enjoyment, just not quite as much as the first two days. The price makes sense now.

But who knows, hopefully some of you will have better luck than I did.

« Good, Not Perfect »

The laser is great except once in a while it dims a little. If you hold it for a little bit it will get brighter again; this is definitely not a deal-breaker, most of the time the laser is perfect.

« Nice product / Great service »

After receiving a laser pointer that appeared to be defective, I was pleasantly surprised with the efficiency, politeness, and attention from the seller, HDE. A return for replacement was quickly arranged and executed flawlessly. The replacement pointer works quite well. Battery life is somewhat low, but that is to be expected from these devices. I would recommend this pointer to others and highly recommend HDE as a seller.

« Good, but not up to spec! »

This is a good laser pointer, but be warned= 30mw is really more then you need. These laser pointers are cheap and have NO INFRARED FILTER which means that they are very, very dangerous to your eyes. I would recommend not using these indoors, actually. If it was a lower output at say 10mw, it may be ok, but at 30mw with no IR filter, these are actually extremely dangerous.

But it works, and thats good. Sometimes it will dim a lot, but it is mostly the placement of the batteries. The pattern heads are interesting too, just dont shine them at people.
